Minister Jane Prentice recently announced another year of funding for the highly successful Young Carer Bursary Program that Carers Australia has been running for the last 3 years.

The Young Carer Bursary Program supports young carers aged 12-25 through the award of $3,000 to assist with the costs of education. In 2017 over 340 young carers were awarded a bursary.

Carers Australia will be accepting applications for the 2018 round of bursaries from the 27 July through to 7 September 2017.
