Take the Carer Wellbeing Survey.
If you need assistance completing the survey, or have questions about it, you can call the research team on 1800 981 499, or email via email@example.com
About the survey
This survey, conducted by researchers from the University of Canberra, asks about the types of care you provide to others. This survey also asks about the types of supports or services you may have heard of or accessed in your caring role, including the new Carer Gateway service funded by the Australian Government.
The survey will be open until 11:59 pm (AEST) Sunday, 9 May 2021.
Time to complete
The survey will take between 10 minutes and 30 minutes to complete, depending on how many questions you choose to answer. If you are very busy, you can choose to complete the short version of the survey.
Who can participate in the survey?
All unpaid carers are welcome to complete the survey. Unpaid carers are people who provide personal care, support, and assistance to someone with disability, a medical condition, mental illness, or who is frail due to age.
Please consider taking part in the survey even if you were previously a carer but are no longer providing care to another person – it’s important for us to understand how many Australians have different types of caring responsibilities and the kinds of supports and services they have accessed. The survey is also available in Arabic, Chinese (simplified), Vietnamese and Italian.
How will the survey be used?
Taking part will help us better understand how many people are providing different forms of care across Australia, and better understand the needs of carers. This information will be used by Carers Australia to support their work advocating for carers across Australia, and by the Department of Social Services in understanding whether the new Carer Gateway service is appropriately reaching carers.
