As federal governments consider major policy and legislative changes, they will typically seek input from stakeholders and interested parties to gain a better understanding of the issues and consequences.

Carers Australia is in a strong position to advise governments and decision-makers in relation to planned amendments to policies affecting carers and their dependents. Carers Australia (often with state and territory Carers Associations) make submissions to governments where carer issues are raised. Our submissions are based on statistics, research and the interests of carers.

You can access our submission documents through the resources page.

Personal experiences of carers have an impact on our submissions, so Have Your Say in our forum or contact Carers Australia and share your concerns.
