Carers Australia CEO, Ara Cresswell, will attend the 6^th International Carers Conference being held in Gothenburg, Sweden, from Friday 4^th to Sunday 6^th September.

This major event happens only once every four years and is a crucial gathering of all major caring organisations across the world, including the UK, Ireland, Finland, Canada, New Zealand and America.

The conference will be opened by H.M. Queen Silvia and Asa Regnér, Swedish Government Minister for Children, Older People and Gender Equality.

30 countries will be represented in all, with over 200 papers being presented at a conference which provides a fantastic opportunity for government representatives, international NGOs and representatives of unpaid carers worldwide to confer and exchange ideas and which has, in the past, changed the terms of the caring debate.
