Robbie is an accomplished Security and Risk Management professional with executive level international leadership experience. He is the Chief Risk Officer for a major Australian University and has extensive experience working across a number of senior portfolios in Government Utilities, Public Private Partnerships, International Management Consultancies and the Banking sector. He has worked with Business and Government at all levels on issues including pandemic preparation, counter terrorism, business continuity, disaster recovery and crisis management.
A member of American Society of Industrial Security (ASIS), Robbie is the current President of Australasian Universities Risk and Insurance Management Society (AURIMS), and a foundation member of the Federal Government’s Resilience Expert Advisory Group (REAG).
Prior to his current engagement, Robbie worked as the Asian Regional Director of a bespoke Management consultancy based in Bangkok Thailand. In that capacity he serviced clients in Manufacturing, Mining, Banking, NGO, Religion and Retail and Wholesale sectors providing detailed Security, Risk Management and Training advice and support from multinational and Fortune 100 clients.
Robbie brings strong Risk Management and general Business Management experience to the Board. He has a Master of Business Administration with double majors in Marketing and Human Resource Management, a Bachelor of Administrative Leadership, is Board Certified in Security holding a Certified Protection Professional Accreditation from ASIS, has a Diploma in Security Risk Management and is a Justice of the Peace for NSW.
Robbie was nominated to the Carers Australia Board in October 2016.
